Well.. I understand a bit of Japanese, so I'll try to see if they're gonna make Blinx 3 or not. XD
EDIT: Well, I didn't even see a tiny bit of information about any new Blinx games, but hey, maybe they're making an awesome Blinx game and they don't wanna tell us about it. XD
EDIT #2: Oh hey, look what I found! "Contact Email, contact@artoon.co.jp. Phone Number, 81 45 470 4380. Date Founded, 1999-08-27 00:00:00. Count of Games Published, 0. Count of Games Developed ..." I don't know if this'll help or not, but oh well.
EDIT #3: "Artoon chiefs confirm that a third title is currently in production...
With the recent announcement of Blinx 2: Masters of Time and Space, we today recived word from Artoon Studios of their hopes for success with the sequel, as a third title is currently in production.
Whilst the original displayed some neat concepts it was ultimately flawed by its rigid platformer structure and short duration, leaving both Microsoft and Artoon to hope that the inclusion of Xbox Live! compatibility will increase the appeal of Blinx 2. Weâll have more information on Blinx 2: Masters of Time and Space soonâ¦"
By the way.. I found out some news! Blinx 3 should be out somewhere around March for the Xbox 360! EVERYONE GO INSANE! WOO! *happy dance*
EDIT #4: .... Some people said that Artoon decided not to make it.. Well, there's only one way to find out if all of this is real or not. We gotta wait 'till March. D=

Where did you find the information about it coming out in March? If that's true, then I think I may actually be in danger of EXPLODING WITH EXCITEMENT!!! *phew. Calm down* *ahem* Thanks for doing that bit of research.

I hope they do. 'Cept that means I'll have to buy me a XBox 360.. And I wont have money to if I'm getting a $150 plush. xD
But if they don't, we'll just have to make our own company and buy Blinx off of them. Just like Disney does.

Yeah, shame about having to buy a 360. It's silly that companies spend so much time and effort on every console, but as soon as their new model comes out, they just forget about the old one and don't think about their good customers who have bought an Xbox, and stop making games for it!

Yeah, that's true. I tried emailing them a looooooong time ago when I was little-r but they never sent back of course. Maybe I'll try again, only, in a more professional manner.. *hides knifes and sharp objects*

*Polishes his metal bat* I'd rather go in, bats a-swingin'. All major franchises are guilty of the same thing.

You know, honestly, I think the game would turn out best if they kept it as close to the original as possible. That's usually where sequels go bad, they just end up too different. People usually like originals the best, and then when a sequel comes out they get all excited only to find out it's different from the first and end up not liking it as much. Then the games rating goes down and they don't sell as good and the company might not make anymore of those games. Okami is somewhat of an example (only it has no sequal). The game wasn't selling very good so Capcom fired Clover Studios. I believe that's pretty much what happened with Artoon. The second game didn't sell very well, so they canceled the third game (as far as we know).
For one, I've noticed in a lot of reviews that people do not quite like the idea of playing both sides. I believe people said the same thing about Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. It can be fun at times, but generally people like to stick with one story. Take a Legend of Zelda game for example. How would you react if they made a game where you played as Link as well as Ganondorf? It doesn't give you the right feel of saving the world against the evil villain if you are also the evil villain yourself. For me, I enjoyed playing as Blinx with the feel of saving a world that everyone else gave up on. But would it really be the same if you played as the hero as well as tried to destroy that hero at the same time? I don't think so.
Also, another major flaw with the second game was Blinx isn't a major part of the second game. You actually fight against him while playing as the Tom Toms. Is that really how you treat the main character who pretty much was pushed off his throne in the game to begin with? Though it is fun to create your own Time Sweeper and Tom Tom (though from what I said earlier, a lot of people didn't like playing as the Tom Toms much), does the game really have the right to be a sequel? It's not a Blinx game if it's not Blinx. I don't approve the game as an official sequel. The game could have been a related game, but definitely not a sequel.
What I think is Artoon should bring back the concepts of the original Blinx. They should start out by bring Blinx back, first of all. I also think they should bring back the graphics, for they were much more detailed then the second game. The original look for the time monsters were better, in my opinion. In the second game they just looked like Artoon was trying to make them look "cool," along with pretty much everything else in the game. The original had a more "cute" look to it. The language should have stayed it was much better, and more fitting to the game. To be honest, I thought some of the lines they said in Blinx 2 were pretty lame. If they had kept the original cat language in Blinx 2, it wouldn't have sounded as cheesy. For the shop, I think they should have left Catherine, but kept an inventory. I like the idea of not having to worry about what time crystals to pick up, especially when the one I want to is squished between two other crystals, but I believe the idea of matching crystals was a big of a challenge and made you think about what you needed and what wasn't necessary for that particular stage. I can go either way for that aspect. Another thing I'm a this or that way on is the way the actual game is set up. I prefer the way the first is to the second. So for the third game, I think they could make it the way they did the first game. Including that 10 minute time limit, but slightly different. When stages were getting longer, and much harder, it became really frustrating to push your way through the level. I think what they should have done was increase the time limit for the much harder stages to 15-20 minutes to give the person time so they don't have to rush, and so they have time to rather up those cat medals. I find it very hard to get even one cat medal when it takes me about 8-9 minutes to complete the stage. Although, I wouldn't mind if they set up the game different from both games. As you see in the being of the first game, you see Blinx on a large conveyor belt with doors on one side that have the world's ID over it. I think, if done correctly, it would be cool if you could go on that belt and go through different doors leading to different worlds. Also, if you could actually explore in those worlds, while taking out time monsters (which would still be the key aspect to the game), and using time controls to repair that world (an obvious example would be rewind to fix broken objects and buildings). Though I think it'd be much harder to create a game that can stand up to the first game with it being set up like that (they'd have to make several worlds, have a good storyline, possibly one for each world, and such). They should definitely keep, either way, is Blinx being the main character, going to a world(s), trying to clean up the mess (time monsters) left by the Tom Toms. If you remember from the first game, Blinx says, "Each supervisor watches over a world making sure there aren't any glitches in time. When they occur, they become time crystals. After a while, time crystals become monsters. It's our job to clean them up before they do!" This idea is pretty much completely taken out of the second game.
So, to close off, I strongly believe that Blinx 2 should be dropped from the official storyline from Blinx. Kind of like Devil May Cry. The second game, which wasn't made by the same director, was dropped from the storyline of the series. So you can think of it as a sidestory, or a game for the fans' pleasures. Blinx should also be kept as the main character. For the third game, they could start off with the idea they left off with in the end of Blinx 2. World 5J7A. If they can use that, they can probably create a game similar to the first game with some improvements and make a really good game, as well as restore Blinx's honor.
Oh yeah! I forgot something. They need to change the way you activate time controls back to the way it was in the original. I hate the way it is in the second game because you can't time anything correctly. And I'd accidentally hit the X button and bam, there went my last pause. I always hated that. I want it to be when you hit the button, and the gameplay stops and you can select your time control. Like those spike doors, you could make sure you had it the way you wanted before you activated the time control.

And we could all go round and slap them in the face and throw buckets of cold water over them until they see sense and make Blinx 3. Hmph But we'd probably be arrested. Maybe a polite letter may be more appropriate.

Haha, yaaaaaaay. We'll start an army, and on our flag will be Because it's the best emoticon ever! xD I suppose I can send it to Artoon, I'd just have to rewrite it a bit so it's more like I'm saying it to them rather than someone else. That can be fixed easily~
