So, we all know there is hardly any Blinx merchandise in existence. Most fans aren't able to get their hands on the very little that does exist. I'm looking to change that. I've been wanting to make some of my own Blinx merchandise for a while now. But before I start, I would like to know what kind of demand there is. Unfortunately, some of these items may not get made if there's not enough demand, as they would have to go to a manufacturer, and most of those have a minimum order of 50. So, this poll is to gauge what the public interest is in such items, and will give me some thoughts on where to start. I've added some more details on each items below, what they are, and a general price range.
Pin-back Buttons
Most likely will get made, regardless. SUPER inexpensive. To start, I planned on having a larger batch of just Blinx, and then having a 3 pack that would include Blinx, Katherine and the TS-1000 (the last one would just be the main body of the weapon, no handle part). If these did well, I could make some of other ones.
Enamel Pins
In my opinion, enamel pins are the superior to buttons, but are not as cost effective. These would only get made if there was a really high demand (requires a minimum order of 50, and costs a couple hundred for the batch). I could do soft enamel, but it just looks so much cheaper than hard enamel, which looks nice (I collect enamel pins, so I'm a bit picky..!). Would still be pretty inexpensive for fans to buy pins, it's really only pricey for me because I have to order so many of them (would love if I could find a good place that will let me order 25). If people really are interested though, we could make this happen!
Acrylic/Wood Keychains
Keychains, that will feature artwork in acrylic or wood. Similar situation to the enamel pins, but I did find a manufacturer that I can do small orders from. I can also order singles, so I'll be able to show photos of what they look like before placing a larger order.
Lanyards
I haven't looked into this one too much, but it's a thought. Similar to the enamel pins with the bulk order, but a bit cheaper. If there's interest, I'll look further into it.
Clothing
This is a mix between simple clothing designs (uploading on Redbubble or TeePublic), or more handmade clothing. So, getting custom patterned fabric made (with a repeating pattern, featuring game characters and items, that could be turned into pajama pants or shirts- things like that.
Bags/Backpacks
Also a handmade item. I've already planned on making a TS1000 messenger bag (much better than the one I made years ago). I could make various versions of different sweepers. May do a custom fabric print for the interior lining as well, and lots of pockets!
Plushies
Nothing amazing like the official Blinx plush, but I do have a few patterns that would make a cute Blinx plush.
